My goal with this project was to recreate a historical building in Unreal Engine 4. I used photos that I took on site to create the textures.
Many of the photos left something to be desired- the lighting and camera settings could have been better. I paid careful attention to make sure the colors of my final product looked just like the building does in person.
I went to the building an took close-up photos of it's surfaces, which I edited and color corrected into tileable textures.
The poly count ended up being quite high. I normally wouldn't go that far, but I wanted this model to contain every detail of the building's exterior.
